Summer skiing at Tremblant!

Since August 18, it’s been possible to ski or snowboard and test your turns on a synthetic surface at Tremblant. This refreshing new development – which Tremblant expects to repeat next year – is an addition to the panoply of summer offerings already available at the resort.

Loan of equipment is included in the one-hour activity and people are present on the slope to accompany skiers and boarders of all ages. Participants can take their runs in the learning area on two types of surfaces. The carpet with long fibres provides a more supple surface on the trail called Équilibre Haut, allowing longer, wider turns. The trail called Équilibre Bas, with a shortfibre carpet, provides a firmer surface which allows more space for braking techniques and for control of one’s skis or board.

What’s more, to make sliding easier, an irrigation system has been installed under the carpet to distribute some bit of mist onto the surface when the latter is dry.

The rental centre, located at the top of the carpet, allows visitors to obtain skis, boots, and poles, or snowboard, boots, and helmet. Please note that it is also possible to bring your own equipment. The fee remains the same, however.

The activity is provided seven days a week, in every weather, until September 4. After that it will be open weekends only, from September 5 to October 15. Skiing in summer is an original way to try snow sports before the snow arrives. Another opportunity to create memorable moments, at Tremblant!
