Welcome to Miracles, la Grande Retraite

A brand-new yogic event is planned for Tremblant. Its formula differs from that of the Wanderlust festival, which left a void after its departure in 2019. The idea of the new event is to recharge your batteries over a weekend, from June 2 to 4, supported by a large range of well-being professionals.

Created by Madeleine Arcand, co-founder of Rose Buddha, Miracles sprang from the concept of providing a major retreat during which participants would allow themselves to take a real pause and experience a true transformation.

”I wanted to create an event that would permit the participation of more people than during a simple retreat. The idea is to do the most good for the largest number of people at the same time,” explains Madeleine Arcand, meditation teacher, author and creator of Miracles.

In all, 23 guests will offer workshops lasting from one-and-a-quarter to one-and-a-half hours, from Friday till Sunday. Doctors, psychologists, teachers, trainers, speakers, therapists and even a sexologist will welcome Miracles participants into workshops spread out over three days. It’s important to note that the formula will allow participants to choose from among different workshops held at the same time. In the evenings, DJs, circus artists, yoga and mantra chants will immerse participants in a musical atmosphere in the Place Saint-Bernard.

“So it’s not just yoga and meditation,” Madeleine emphasizes. ”While meditation will be included, we’ll also be tackling several subjects such as food, slow living, sexuality, psychology, and more. It’s a weekend to take stock of one’s current life and learn how to do a course correction.”

This first iteration of the event anticipates hosting some 400 individuals. Eventually, Miracles will welcome an audience of 2,000 participants. Several packages are available and offer formulas with or without accommodation or food. In contrast to the Wanderlust Festival, which allowed brief forays due to an à la carte workshop selection, Miracles participants are invited to enjoy the full weekend so as to achieve a true retreat.

“We would like participants to live the full event, like a true vacation. What’s really nice is that it’s possible to do that without having to take vacation time or board a plane,” Madeleine points out.

“The goal is to take over the space left empty by Wanderlust’s departure to provide the opportunity to experience a big wellness gathering in Québec. We wanted it to be at Tremblant, which is the most beautiful place in Québec, to rent the biggest hall — which is that of the Fairmont Tremblant — and invite today’s coolest contributors and speakers in all the facets that influence well-being,” she concludes.
