Superb Mont-Tremblant Mattresses

In May of 2021, Marie-Pier Désormeaux, who owns the Natur furniture and design store, integrated the well-known Matelas Laurentien mattress store into her existing business. She also took advantage of the opportunity to add to the existing product line a new in-house collection of high-end mattresses inspired by our local lifestyle.

“As a point of departure for my project, I thought of all the sportsmen and -women, skiers, triathletes, snowshoers and cyclists who live here or come to their chalets on weekends,” Marie-Pier explains. “They’re going to spend 16 hours in their beds and they need more than an ordinary mattress.

The models in our Natur collection, our house brand, meet that need. They are assembled in Québec according to our specifications. We take care in choosing the materials and our fabrics are imported from Belgium with our own colours and logo.”

The names of the models, such as Ryan, Nordisk or Dorski, are a passing reference to the regional character. The collection is composed of five models, some of which provide a soft, semi-firm or firm level of density. The mattresses can be traditionally made (pocketed springs), hybrid (springs and foam) or all-foam.

“All our mattresses are top quality because the components are certified organic – such as the latex, for example – and meet manufacturing standards, which raises the quality, but also the prices. The assembly is done very meticulously,” she adds.

Marie-Pier Désormeaux emphasizes that comfort is a very personal matter and that it’s important to understand the contribution of each component. She notes that a mattress will not be more comfortable because it’s more expensive.

The guarantee is for 10 years, but depending on how the mattress is used, it can last for close to 20. “Our staff has all the qualifications required to guide you in your choice,” she concludes.

Prices range from $1250 to $2710 for a Queen.
