Clear success for the Summer Market downtown

Mont-Tremblant’s Summer Market was launched on June 10 in Mont-Tremblant’s Espace public. Visitors, producers and artisans were all perfectly comfortable in the new space.

Open from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. every Saturday, this new iteration of the Summer Market – formerly held in the Old Village – was as pleasing to visitors as it was to the 25 producers and artisans who came to offer their goods and wares. Local produce and prepared foods were featured. The sheer number of customers was a surprise to the organizers, as it was to the merchants.

“I didn’t expect so many customers,” the person running La Mie Richard’s bakery booth confided to us. They had nothing left to sell at 11 a.m. “We’ll be better stocked for next week, that’s for sure.”

Here’s a little story to emphasize the number of attendees: 200 bagels at Bagel Boréal were offered to the earliest arrivals. At 9:30 a.m., only crumbs remained.

Good to know! It should be noted that a dozen individuals were refused access to the site. They came accompanied by their dogs. It’s worth knowing in advance, particularly with the summer heat when pet-owners are advised to avoid leaving their four-footed friends in the car.

From June 10 to September 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Espace public (885 rue de Saint-Jovite, at the corner of rue Labelle).
