Summertime is playtime!

Here we are at last in those weeks that mark the final sprint towards the summer holidays. There are a number of activities planned for the summer, and June provides the entrée to a fun-filled season.

Events
We’ll begin with the 10th Relay for Life, scheduled for June 8. This is a moving event that brings people together to raise funds in support of the fight against cancer. Then from June 25 to 28, there’s the Dr. Julien camp, held at the Domaine for the past nine years. The mission of the Dr. Julien Foundation is to allow every child from a “vulnerable environment” to have access to social pediatric treatments and services so as to develop fully and improve his or her wellbeing. The Domaine’s outdoor environment allows these children to have a highly enriching experience.

Please note that all events are conducted in French.

Saturday, June 9: Living with nature (Vivre avec la nature)

Sunday, June 10: The fishing festival (La fête de la pêche), planned to initiate families and future fishers (fishermen and fisherwomen), organized by fly-fishing club the Moucheurs EnDiablés

Saturday, June 16: Edible wild plants (Les plantes sauvages comestibles)

Saturday, July 7: Annual picnic for the people of Mont-Tremblant, a day of family activities

Please note that the end of June marks the beginning of the summer holidays, the opening of our beach and the beginning of day camps. These latter visit us regularly all summer.

Lastly, we should mention that on May 8, 1,800 local elementary school youngsters came to MOVE! at the Domaine Saint-Bernard to collect energy cubes as part of the Pierre Lavoie Challenge. Laughter, fun, a perfect temperature and brilliant sunshine were all present for the event. Bravo to all the children, activity leaders, teachers, parent volunteers, bus drivers and organizers for this fabulous day.
