The colours!

Some activities return to our calendars like a tradition. Here are some Domaine Saint-Bernard October classics.

Fall colours

Whether you’re thinking of hiking, running, biking or simply making contact with nature, take advantage of the month of October to explore our trails. A protected space, the Domaine Saint-Bernard is the perfect area for your fall excursions. You’ll be dazzled by the beauty of our trails during the season of colours.

Défi allaitement – Breastfeeding Challenge

For the past several years, the Domaine Saint-Bernard has hosted the Défi allaitement. The event will take place on Sunday, October 6, in the context of World Breastfeeding Week. The event is organized by Nourri Source, the organization that accompanies and supports the families.

Fall cleanup

On Saturday, October 19, there’s the fall cleanup event – the corvée d’automne. Volunteers are invited to carry out a range of tasks that will prepare the park for winter, such as cleaning up the trails, tidying and cleaning the hut, stacking wood….  It’s an opportunity for volunteers to spend time with others and rack up some hours for eligibility to be an Ami du Domaine.

Amis du Domaine have certain privileges, such as free access to the Domaine.

Astronomy

The focus this month is on the beauty of objects in the deep sky. Largely unknown to most people, there are in space objects boasting extraordinary colours and shapes. Hard to see with the naked eye, they have become the main targets of amateur telescopes around the world. Every Saturday evening at the Velan astronomy pavilion.

A haunted house for Halloween

Lastly, the month winds up with…Halloween! On Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Domaine offers, for a second consecutive year, a visit to our haunted house on the second floor of the Petit Saint-Bernard.

Happy fall!
