Summer at Domaine Saint-Bernard

July has a lot on offer in terms of activities. In addition to all those included in the regular Domaine Saint-Bernard calendar, there are others worthy of note.

The “Family Picnic”
This fun-filled event is scheduled for Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for the whole family will be provided free of charge throughout the day, including kite-flying, archery, face painting for children, a yoga session for young and old, use of canoes and kayaks, beach access and more.

Concert under the stars
On Saturday, July 21, a superb outdoor concert will be presented free of charge as part of the Festival International Hautes-Laurentides. The male vocal quartet Quartom will provide an a cappella(without accompaniment) musical show combining a wide range of musical genres: spiritual, classical, romantic, French chansons and more. Bring your chairs. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the Saint-Jovite church.

Astronomy at the Velan pavilion
July will be dedicated to the planet Saturn. Every Saturday evening, there’s an astronomy evening led by our impassioned astronomer who will help you discover the sky and its many treasures.

Edible plants
On Saturday, July 21, at 9:30 a.m., people with a great deal of knowledge about plants invite us to a workshop on the identification of edible and medicinal plants in the forest.

Our operating hours are adapting to the longer days of summer. As a result, we are open until 6 p.m. so that you can enjoy walking and hiking, as well as the beach with lifeguards on duty. New this year, the Saint-Bernard bistro is located this summer in the Wheeler pavilion; its offering includes ice cream and slushes plus a summer menu featuring wraps, paninis and salads.

I’ll wind this up by mentioning that the 12th annual Symposium des arts du Domaine Saint-Bernard is scheduled for the weekend of August 4 and 5 is. Mark your calendar!
