Those yummy Saturdays in Mont-Tremblant

The Summer Market is back and with it, weekly gastronomical outings that we can enjoy without guilt all summer long. There are a few exciting changes, particularly in the management of the event. Nicole Culis, who is well known in the region for her culinary TV programs and her community involvement, has been put in charge of the Summer Market.

“We are proud to support this summer activity. This year, management of the Mont-Tremblant Summer Market has been transferred to Nicole Culis, a well-known local epicure, who will bring originality and authenticity to the ongoing event,” said Mayor Luc Brisebois in a press release.

“I am pleased to accept responsibility for the Summer Market. I remain passionate about good food and food products,” says Madame Culis, former producer and host of the popular television program Cuisinons ensemble, broadcast on Cogeco TV.

Schedule
A joy for gourmets, cooks and market lovers, the Mont-Tremblant Summer Market will be held every Saturday, from June 30 to September 29, 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. The location is unchanged: people looking for fresh, local produce and products will meet, as usual, at 1875 chemin du Village in the Old Village on Lac Mercier.

Good news
And here’s some more good news. The Ville de Mont-Tremblant will place booths at the disposal, free of charge, of producers. It goes without saying that this news has been very well received. The list of exhibitors gets longer every day. You may remember that the offering at the Marché d’été de Mont-Tremblant had dwindled considerably in recent years. This news should make visitors’ experiences more and more pleasant, as they discover an increasing number of local and regional products.

In fact this year, this country activity that brings so much life to the Village every Saturday will feature more than 25 exhibitors. “And that’s the minimum,” Nicole adds, “and it will all be regional producers.” These latter provide exclusively local products: cheeses, breads, cakes, pastries, flowers and plants, maple syrup, honey, chocolate, coffee, tea, spices, wine, organic vegetables and fruit, Swiss fondue, prepared dishes…. On-site chefs will even be hosting cooking workshops, in particular, C’est l’été, on mange dehors! (It’s summer; let’s eat outdoors!), created by Nicole.

More good news
Lastly, there’ll be something else new at the market this year. In addition to the tasty products offered by various producers and artisans, our visitors will be able to take home a special souvenir of their stay in Mont-Tremblant thanks to the all-new “Coin des Artistes (the Artists’ Corner).

Have a great, tasty summer in Mont-Tremblant!
