Horizon Tremblant: major investment on the South Side

It’s been over ten years since the latest large-scale real estate project was launched on Mont Tremblant’s South Side. More than $25 million will be invested in this new complex, which is custom tailored for outdoor lovers and the sports minded.

Tucked into the heart of the Domaine de la Forêt close to the pedestrian village, Horizon Tremblant offers two-, three- and four-bedroom units. With their abundant windows, these contemporary condominiums – which vary in size from 1200 to 2000 square feet – provide a view of the mountains, Le Géant golf course and Lac Tremblant.

The first phase of this project undertaken by Développement les Légendes – a private promoter that specializes in real estate development in the mountains – will have 17 high-end condominiums. Preparation of the land will begin this fall and delivery is anticipated for the end of 2018. Building will be done by Construction Tremblant and sales will be undertaken by Engel & Völkers Tremblant under the direction of André Parisien.

For Patrice Malo, chief operating officer for Station Mont Tremblant (Resort), this is excellent news which “speaks of new vigour in the real estate market for our destination.”

“Ski in ski out”, but not just that

In addition to direct access to the runs, Horizon Tremblant will provide numerous conveniences. It is already known that there will be an elevator, indoor training room, dry sauna, outdoor hot tub, private storage room with ski locker and bicycle support, and a workshop for the repair and maintenance of skis and bikes.

“This project is oriented to the sports-minded. The whole building has been designed with that in mind,” says Éric Lefebvre, president of Construction Tremblant. “On the main floor, there will be a training room with sauna, which will communicate with the outdoor hot tub. As they leave the building, people will be able to get onto the ski run located just 3.5 metres away,” he adds.

To provide ultimate comfort, all units will be equipped with a gas fireplace and heated floors. An indoor garage will complete the offering, and each parking place will have its own charging station for electric cars.

“The main idea is really to provide a building featuring contemporary rustic architecture that goes well with the Domaine de la Forêt environment while being perfectly suited to contemporary tastes. We wanted to offer something new that would be up to date in the interior as well as the exterior design,” Mr. Lefebvre concludes.
