The fabulous, ageless Quintessence

It has already been 20 years since the Quintessence hotel first became the place par excellence to live in princely luxury on the shores of Lac Tremblant, mere steps from Tremblant resort. Time has not changed this superb hotel, so ideal for relaxation and in which one feels immediately at home. One of the Quintessence’s secrets of longevity lies in its nobility and the quality of its materials, but also in a respect for the vision which led to the building of this sumptuous manor with its 30 luxury suites, each with a glorious view of the lake.

It is to Sean O’Donnell and Steve Courey that we owe this five-star boutique hotel which provides personalized service with unequalled attention. The hotel is a destination in itself, where guests discover a restaurant featuring high-level gastronomy, a wine bar, a cellar of 4,000 bottles and the Spa Sans Sabot. As a result, guests can revel in incomparable comfort throughout their stay. It should also be mentioned that a new dock was installed last summer so lake-dwellers with waterfront properties can tie up, mount the steps to the La Quintessence restaurant, the spa or perhaps the bar to enjoy the sunsets. In summer, waterbased activities complete the hotel’s offering.

It’s interesting to know that the Quintessence hotel is located where the home called “Sans Sabot”, which belonged to the Clagett family (see The forgotten, “The Clagett Family”, May 2023 issue), used to stand. In the same way that this American family – which had fallen under the spell of our region in the ‘40s – liked to have their friends experience it, the Quintessence hotel remains a perfect spot to discover the beauty of our part of the country.
