Manitou Festival

As part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Canadian Confederation, The Domaine Saint-Bernardin partnership with DestiNATIONS : : Carrefour International des Arts et Cultures des Peuples autochtones – announces the 1st edition of Manitou Festival: Celebration of Indigeneous cultures from July 14th to July 16th at the Domaine Saint-Bernard in Mont-Tremblant.

Elisapie Isaac : Our Guest of honor

Canadian singer-songwriter, Elisapie Isaac will be the guest of honor at this first edition of the Manitou Festival. She will give a great opening concert and will show us some songs from her new album, The Ballad of the Runaway Girl: musical tale of an expatriate Inuk, a return to the roots, sometimes sweet, sometimes raw with her own way To mix Inuktitut, English and French.

More than 40 artists and craftspeople and nearly a dozen cultural and artistic organizations representing more than 10 Aboriginal nations will participate in the Manitou Festival. Among the guest artists, Sakay Ottawa will immerse us in a musical universe in her mother tongue, atikamekw; Barbara Diabo will introduce the festival-goers to the dances of hoops accompanied by drums and Joséphine Bacon will transport us to nomadic spaces.
