The historical society called SOPABIC will bring the L. Paquin & Fils general store back to life through an exhibition presented at the Boîte à Surprise in the Espace public from September 9 to 12.

Come relive the history and atmosphere of the general store that was located on this site for more than one hundred years. In addition to appropriate artifacts reminiscent of the store’s “good old days” and historic and anecdotal notes, the presenters – recognizable in their clerks’ aprons – will add their own good humour.

Jean Lafasanella will use his accordion to bring back the most popular melodies of the day and professional storytellers Guylaine Gélineau and Richard Fournier will have you travelling a fun-filled voyage to the era of this legendary store on Saturday, September 11 at 4 p.m.

Open from noon till 7 p.m. on September 9 and 10; from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 11; and from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 12.
