Thing to do during school break

Mont-Tremblant, a top-notch vacation destination, offers a wide variety of pursuits for families to enjoy during school break. Households from Québec, Ontario and the USA will be here from mid-February through to mid-March and will find lots to keep them busy, whatever their interests and no matter what Mother Nature has in store.

With its mountain, its Québec national park, its resort and its ecotourism centre, Mont-Tremblant is like a little piece of heaven for those who like to spend time outdoors. Winter activities here run from alpine skiing to snowmobiling by way of alpine touring, cross-country skiing and fatbiking. All kinds of pursuits meet the needs of all kinds of people…such as the children’s program that combines yoga, cross-country skiing, crafts and cooking, music and astronomy offered from March 4 to 8 at the Domaine Saint-Bernard (see p. 45).

Activities from the best-known to the most unusual

Available beside Route 117 and at the foot of the Tremblant slopes, tubing – sliding on huge inner tubes – is one of the best-loved family activities. It’s the same thing for outdoor ice skating available in the Village sector, at Tremblant resort and now in Centre-town. If you’re looking for activities that will make an indelible impression on young and old, consider dogsledding, helicopter rides and ice fishing.

The list grows when you add activities that speak to children’s curiosity. What about a visit to the zoological museum called Animalium, to the Discovery Centre at the parc national du Mont-Tremblant, or to places where you can paint ceramics or create your own stuffed toy?

When the weather is inclement, you may find that activities in Tremblant’s pedestrian village – such as the Mission Liberté escape game, laser tag, virtual reality and Aquaclub la Source – are exactly what’s needed. In Centre-town sector, the Complexe aquatique Mont-Tremblantis well worth a visit.

During school break, it’s time for entertainment. At Tremblant resort, crazy outdoor games, an ultra-friendly mascot and an outdoor discotheque on Saturday evenings provide fun for the whole family.

Everything is in place to give vacationing families a memorable stay. It’s just a matter of getting out there and enjoying it.
