We are the reflection of the five people with whom we spend the most time

 According to many studies on behaviour and life habits, each of us consciously or unconsciously adopts the habits of those around us, whether in our lifestyle choices, our food choices, our ways of seeing challenges or even our professional lives.

Since humans are social beings and are comfortable when they are in a community that shares their values and habits, it is easy to understand why our relationships are so important in our lives.

Here are some points of reflection from Tony Robbins, human performance expert, on how to choose the best people to spend time with.

  • Do you have a certain degree of admiration for the people you spend time with?

They do not have to be a superstar, just a source of inspiration in their energy level, the way they speak in public, and the way they overcome challenges of everyday life.

  • Do they inspire you to improve?

Sometimes we meet people who really impress us. It may be by their optimism, their way of looking at life or their charisma. Whatever qualities you want to acquire, surround yourself with people who have these qualities.

  • By examining the lifestyle habits of the people with whom you spend the most time, you will realize that you share a few small parts of each of them. Does that suit you or would you like to make some changes?

As an adult, we can choose our relationships based on the level of quality of life we want. So be meticulous in choosing your relationships, because they will have a decisive impact on who you will be in five, 10, or 20 years and more from now.
