New businesses to check out in Mont-Tremblant: The fishmonger Ô Capitaine

Gradually, new businesses are opening their doors, offering experience and know-how. Seasoned entrepreneurs or young enthusiasts are the next generation to add to the mix and to our enjoyment.

The fishmonger Ô Capitaine

Fewer than 48 hours after leaving the water, the fish, mollusks, octopuses, crustaceans and shellfish from Nova Scotia, the Magdalen Islands and the Gaspé coast are in Mont-Tremblant. The displays at the new fish store Ô Capitaine overflow with produce from the sea, as appetizing as it is colourful.

The arrivals vary with the season and personalized service allows shoppers to discover new products or learn new preparation methods: freshness guaranteed. Whether it’s a question of natural or processed products, the prices are comparable to those in the grocery stores. It will soon be possible to order by Internet and pick up the order at the store.

Owners Veronique Bujold and Renaud Chartrand intend to become the Ricardo(s) of the Laurentians. These two, cooks by trade, put their hearts, know-how and enthusiasm to work creating a crab salad, salmon tartare with aïoli, carpaccio, dressings, seasonings, sushi by request to adorn your holiday tables…or every day.
