Sports complex Erik Guay

Erik Guay received a heartfelt tribute on May 23 at Mont-Tremblant city hall. The Mont Tremblant sports complex, composed of several sports facilities including the arena, the Complexe aquatique, the synthetic football field, the recreational bicycle park and soon, four tennis courts, will be named in honour of Erik Guay, world champion of super-G alpine skiing. The mayor of Mont-Tremblant, Luc Brisebois, also presented a $2,000 bursary to Erik Guay. After thanking Mr. Brisebois, Erik was keen to give this award to young athletes in the region to encourage them to pursue their dreams. Erik thanked his wife, Karen, his daughters Logann, Leni and Marlo, his parents, Ellen and Conrad, and his brother Stefan for their unconditional support. Lastly, Erik generously offered his time to autograph the postcards handed out to citizens by the Ville.
