The best places for paddleboarding

© Dan K. Cooper

There are more and more paddleboards on our many regional lakes and rivers. The activity, which is also called SUP or stand-up paddle, requires a modest degree of balance and allows the practitioner to experience an exciting interaction with nature. The most experienced can use the board for practising yoga or even to undertake some brilliant photo shoots (see our cover page). Novices, on the other hand, can move at their own speed or serenely paddle down a quiet river. So…where in the region can you rent a board, take a course or try stand-up yoga?

Lac Tremblant

You can launch yourself into SUP on majestic Lac Tremblant through the rental service at the Centre Nautique Pierre Plouffe. A conscientious team will provide some basic advice and several formulas are available.
