The good news newspaper

Saskia Sullivan, 10 ans, éditrice et journaliste en herbe.

A brand new publication has appeared in Mont-Tremblant during the past weeks. The document, written by hand by Saskia Sullivan, age 10, is printed front-and-back and distributed since the end of March in the Old Village.

The goal is to tell a few jokes and relate all the good news of the moment to cheer up the villagers in this very unusual time. Contrary to what you might expect, Saskia is not doing her first gig as journalist-editor.

She published several issues of a newspaper at the age of 6-7 when she lived in Austin, Texas. While the format is fairly modest, the newspaper deals – in particular –with such important subjects as the rights of women.

As these lines are being written, Saskia, who confides to us that she “adores doing this”, is working on the eighth issue of her newspaper, which prints 50 copies of each issue.
