The Quintessence du vin

This year’s Quintessence du vinevent, the 12th of its kind, will be held on Friday, November 10. It’s a benefit evening at the Quintessence hotel, Mont-Tremblant’s premier five-star boutique hotel tucked away on the shores of Lac Tremblant. The much-awaited annual event will delight the finest palates and most refined noses of its guests.

Preparations are well underway, says Michel Tremblay, manager of the famous hotel, who can already guarantee that the evening will more than meet the expectations of the 220 or so guests expected. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., several wine producers and companies offering specialized products will graciously provide specially selected new products and wines available for on-site purchase. The in-house culinary staff will have developed a cocktail buffet menu to pair perfectly with the various wines. The ambiance will be alive with music, as well, to accompany conversations and set toes tapping well into the wee hours of the morning during the most active part of the event.

The hotel asks us to stay tuned for the announcement of this year’s surprise guest, as well as for the types of silent auction items that will graciously be provided by its partners.

Last year, more than $14,000 was turned over to the Mont-Tremblant Rotary Club; among other things, the money is used to provide young people in local schools with a good breakfast.  “We are perpetuating the good works started by our founder and president Sean O’Donnell, well known as a fine ambassador for the Club,” explains Mr. Tremblay. The organization, which has 1.2 million members and 35,000 clubs around the world, focuses its efforts on six causes both locally and worldwide: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies.

Everything is being done to provide you with a wonderful evening. All that’s missing is you!
