Ecological, accessible Iluma
By: Geneviève Prieur
Awarded many prizes for the Écoluminis residential project, Belvedair is now busy working on Iluma, the ecological development in Arundel.
It’s a new, turnkey project centred on lifestyle, energy savings and building durability. By ensuring a mindful approach to the planning, architectural design and construction, Belvedair is achieving its mission: to facilitate access to a quality ecological residence.
A cocoon in natural surroundings
Giving special weight to nature and respect for the environment, Iluma offers ecological properties in idyllic surroundings in the heart of the forest. The seven lots, five of which border the Ruisseau Long (stream), are only 15 minutes from Mont-Tremblant, close to all services.
Homes customized for each client
Offered in three architectural styles – Scandinavian, rustic and contemporary – the ecological, high-energy-efficiency houses are all Novoclimat certified. The project developers will also provide LEED Gold certification to customers who ask for it.
A carefully considered approach
Iluma stands apart from any other project of its type through its focus on energy optimization. Insulation and the weatherproofing of the houses’ envelope, combined with each house’s solar orientation, contribute to a 50 to 60 per cent reduction in energy costs.
Belvedair is also in favour of sustainable, healthy materials…which is why all the basic models include a metal roof and triple-glazed windows. To limit unnecessary costs, spaces are planned in a way that reduces square footage while meeting the needs of occupants.
The first in a series of ecological projects, Iluma Arundel will be launched this fall. For more information, go to domaineiluma.com.
