Beer festival in Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré

“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.”  – Frank Zappa.

On June 28 and 29, in the Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré’s Parc de la Gare, there’ll be a beer festival called Festi-Bière. It has revealed its program, which it has brewed especially for those who love good beer, music, and summery flavours.

Festival-goers will again enjoy the winning formula from previous events, when it was called the Festival Brassicole des Laurentides. This year the line-up will feature a dozen or so microbreweries, gathered together under a big top.

Food stands, food trucks, stands for local craftspeople, entertainment for children, talks and workshops about beer and barbecuing will make up the program for this fifth version of Festi-Bière.

 Sparkling music and… Zébulon!

The event will provide two concerts each evening. On Friday, at 7 p.m., the group King Damage will feature a blues rock show, followed by Marci which will present a tribute to Offenbach starting at 9 p.m.

On Saturday, June 29, the rock group ADN will open the festivities, preceding Marc Déry and his legendary group Zébulon which will interpret their greatest hits.

Tickets to access the festival site are for sale at the town’s city hall (100 place de la Mairie) or on the website festibiere.info. Parking is free, as is site access for young people aged 17 and under.
