New art school opens in Mont-Tremblant

There’s something new in the world of the arts. Children, teens and adults can now take art courses in a superb multidisciplinary workshop/studio on the rue de Saint- Jovite. Groups are created as needed and will not exceed ten students, so teaching can be personalized.

For artists looking for a place to create, Ecoloria invites spontaneous visits every day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The offering has lots of variety and a visit to their website would be a good idea. There will be parent-child workshops, seniors workshops and general art workshops every day of the week for different groups: ages 6 – 8, ages 9 – 12 ages, 13 and over, and adults.

These workshops offer all kinds of visual arts: painting, design, charcoal, watercolour, crafts, image transfer and more. Intensive courses in strip cartoons and acrylic painting will also begin in January.

Everyone is welcome

From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, Ecoloria café remains open to the public and there are even musical instruments available for customers to play. Initiated by Marie-Josée Lapalme, painter and sommelière, and Sylvain Lefebvre, digital artist and computer programmer, Ecoloria is a real meeting places for creative types.

Creative Apéro

An Apéro is a pre-meal drink or event. Every Monday at 6 p.m., Ecoloria will offer its food-connoisseur customers guided painting workshops around a selection of privately imported wines and taste treats concocted by caterer Côté Bouffe. It sounds like a very special art-themed time in a lounge atmosphere.

It’s also well worth knowing that this formula has a nomadic version and adapts seamlessly to corporate and private events such as team-building, birthdays and anniversaries, and stag or bachelorette parties.

Check out ecoloria.ca for all the details. Located at 961 rue de Saint-Jovite – 873 479-0156.
