Aéroport Mont-Tremblant to host Cinéparc and major shows

Boogie Wonder Band

Boogie Wonder Band – Alexandre Da Costa – Loud – Paul Piché

For the past several months an idea has been simmering in the mind of Dominique Piché, delegate producer of Événements Sportifs Mont- Tremblant (ESMT), which includes the Ironman Mont-Tremblant events. The goal is this: offer drive-in movie and show evenings on the superb Mont-Tremblant Airport site located beside rue Labelle.

Fireworks against a backdrop of the mountain will – situation-permitting – top everything off. It’s a fascinating idea. Thanks to an association between the Ville de Mont-Tremblant and ESMT, two evenings were initially added to the Anime ta bulle (Light up your bubble) programming.

On the site, which can accommodate 200 vehicles, there’s a big stage with a huge screen on either side “like the ones at the big rock concerts”, Dominique Piché assures us. The measures imposed by the health authorities complicate the organization of any cultural event, obviously, but Mr. Piché has gone all out to offer two spectacular weekends.

On-site, spectators will be able to enjoy the presence of the team of Chef Sebastien Houle of restaurant sEb l’artisan culinaire, who will receive his guests on a terrace located close to his renowned food truck.

Alain Cyr, the familiar voice of the Ironman Mont- Tremblant events and a well-known host-entertainer, has promised to host the public in a whole new way. “I would like to emphasize the extraordinary contribution of Dominique Piché and his team who have allowed us to enrich the programming of the Anime ta bulle cinéparc.

Our thanks, as well, to the Boivin family for generously providing access to the Aéroport Mont-Tremblant site, which will permit a greater number of people from all through the Laurentians to enjoy these two superb evenings,” said Mont-Tremblant mayor Luc Brisebois.

The first weekend

On Friday, July 31, film fans will be able to watch two full-length movies in French: Le Voyage du Dr Dolittle and Hommes en noir : international.

The following day, on Saturday, August 1, the rock star of the violin, Alexandre Da Costa, will join the Boogie Wonder Band to present the greatest disco successes of all time with an amazing show and astounding costumes.

This will be a unique show you won’t want to miss. While entrance is free for everyone, one ticket per vehicle is required. To obtain a ticket (available online only) go to villedemont-tremblant.qc.ca/cineparc.

Loud and Paul Piché

Two very promising shows featuring Loud and Paul Piché will follow respectively on August 21 and 22. Unlike the evenings that are part of the Anime ta bulle programming, these shows will cost fans $75 per vehicle and, of course, require reserving your place as soon as possible.

An evening of hip-hop

Montréal rapper-singer-songwriter Loud, who has received numerous Juno and Félix awards, has been working the Québec rap scene for ten or so years. Several experts of the hip-hop scene consider him to be among the most talented rappers of the North American Francophonie. He’ll be onstage on Friday, August 1.

Paul Piché

Does he really need an introduction? For more than 40 years, Paul Piché has been one of the greatest singersongwriters of Québec’s musical landscape. He’ll be onstage at the Aéroport Mont-Tremblant the following day, Saturday, August 22. Enjoy the shows! Aéroport Mont-Tremblant is located at 2180 rue Labelle in Mont- Tremblant.
