This summer, the kids will be back at the Domaine!

Are you aware that one of the goals of the Domaine Saint-Bernard is to let kids experience life outdoors through participation in supervised activities that contribute to their development and well-being? A number of specialized camps from the Mont-Tremblant area have chosen to run their camps at the Domaine.

They feature dance, taekwondo, yoga, cooking, the arts, the outdoors, cycling and physical training. Three Ville de Mont-Tremblant day camps focusing on the outdoors will each spend a week there. The Domaine is a playground of infinite possibility. The children can spend time in the buildings – the Petit Saint-Bernard and the multi-functional room of the Grand Saint- Bernard – as well as enjoying facilities like the beach, the Wheeler fitness trail, the many other trails and more.

Some of the specialized camps have decided to sign their kids up for a training course called Swim to Survive, offered during the week and given by certified lifeguards. The program, a Québec Lifesaving Society initiative, lets children become aware of their water skills and trains them to survive an accidental fall into deep water.

To make sure the beach is used properly and fairly among the various camps and users, there’ll be a schedule made up by the Domaine’s operations team. A section of the beach will be set aside for camp use so other users are not disturbed during regular hours of operation.

Something else that’s new this summer: the Domaine is an affiliated member, known as a beach lifeguard training centre, of the Lifesaving Society of Québec. The team is able to train new lifeguards and new trainers.
