Our wish for you in 2022 – S.L.O.W. D.O.W.N


There is no “magic pill”!

It’s through our combined, daily, healthy habits that we build the solid foundations for long-term, overall, well-being. But it’s clear that if we do not feel good in our hearts, then even the healthiest habits combined are unlikely to produce the happiness we are looking for.

At the beginning of 2022, we want to remind you that in order to find peace in our hearts and our minds, it’s essential to understand and apply the words S.L.O.W. D.O.W.N. and to take the time to contemplate and reflect….

Here’s how: meditation

If this word scares you, then remind yourself that you don’t have to meditate for hours and hours until you levitate. You can do it for just a few minutes, really! Even two to three minutes can be beneficial.

It’s about creating the habit so that it becomes your ”default mode” and then you can work up to three to four minutes, and so on. If you’re saying to yourself, “I don’t have time to meditate,” then you’re the person who needs to hear this message most.

Meditation is like having a GPS to help guide you throughout your day, while keeping a smile on your face.

Here’s a simple way to start your meditation practice, according to Deepak Chopra MD.

  1. Find yourself a place to sit comfortably in silence.
  2. Relax your neck, shoulders, arms, hands and even your face muscles.
  3. Breathe deeply while keeping your attention on the air flowing in and out.
  4. Calm your mind by focusing on your breath.

Continue until you feel a sense of relaxation in your body and a little more peace in your heart.

It can be that simple!
