A dream come true

A new yoga studio opened recently in Mont-Tremblant, raising some definite interest. To make her dream come true, Lysiane Clermont-Major, the owner of Boréal Yoga, has selected a light-filled space in the Ville de Mont-Tremblant at 2044 chemin du Village. Since July 8 she has been teaching yoga there, preparing a fall retreat, and discovering what’s involved in her new role as an entrepreneur.

Guided by her intuition, Lysiane has taken a fresh path in her life. Her passions led her between her family on the South Shore, her work as a lawyer in Old Montreal, and her vacation days at her secondary residence in Mont-Tremblant. Charmed by the beauty of its lakes, rivers and forests, Lysiane expects to settle full-time in our area.

In opening her studio, Lysiane wants to diversify the local offering with styles of yoga such as Jivamukti or Kundalini. “I manage my studio as I raise my children, with a great deal of freedom and uniqueness,” she reveals.

It’s in this same spirit that three other yoga or fitness teachers bring their own colour to the studio. Valérie Daigle offers Ashtanga and Yoga Therapy courses there, inspired by her personal healing journey to pass on the benefits of yoga.

Boréal Yoga is a large space with warm wooden surfaces, and there’s an adjacent treatment room that therapists can rent. For now, Sara Bellehumeur uses it to provide reiki treatments by appointment, and Lysiane Clermont-Major remains open to welcoming other wellbeing professionals.

There’s an open house day at Boréal Yoga on September 14, when all courses are free. Weather-permitting, there will be a special end to the day with 108 sun salutations at Lac Mercier.
