It’s a simple premise: delicious homemade food from organic and locally sourced ingredients. Add a team passionate about sharing a wholesome lifestyle. Curate some amazing recipes. Voila, you have a foodie’s dream destination.

Locally sourced

At P’tites Folies, Tom Noakes and Lydia Gervais have hand-crafted a unique café with an intimate farm-to-table relationship with local producers. “We live in such a bountiful region,” beams Lydia, “that sharing it with our community is crazy-fun.”

Products from over one hundred local merchants line the shelves and are featured in a menu that changes daily.

Produce from Bio Sauvage and Ferme Bettina et Pascal in Arundel ensure the freshest seasonal veggies.

Golden honey from Brébeuf’s Le Petit Rucher du Nord is drizzled on melt-in-yourmouth wild salmon from Dan Fumoir Artisanal.

A daily assortment of mouthwatering sandwiches are lovingly built on warm country bread from Le Breadshop in Morin Heights.

Lydia’s jambalaya and chicken pot pies are made with Morgan Farms organic meats. Fresh carrot cake cookies are a favourite.

They are perfect paired with a warm cup of coffee brewed with beans from Brûlerie des Monts in Saint Sauveur.

Seasonal specialties

Taking the utmost care to ensure a consistently high standard of food, Tom and Lydia allow seasonal adjustments to the menu based on what nature makes available. Root vegetables are winter fare, with a beet salad that’s downright fabulous. In the spring, fresh asparagus is mixed in.

The café is geared for volume. And the business model is working as local residents and tourists take advantage of quick organic meals ready to go. “We make real food, with real ingredients, ready to eat,” shares Tom.

Located at 1 rue du Village, Arundel, and open this winter Thursday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the P’tites Folies offers not just good food: it’s crazy-good food.
